So we’ve been finishing off the last few episodes of the final season of Spartacus. I think all the violence, gore, blood, sex, and more blood, unconsciously influenced my mood. Hello, dark nail polish!
Which also led to finally getting some stuff – predominantly black, with skull/bone prints – at Bleach, formerly Bleach Catastrophe.
Bleach Catastrophe was mainly a clothing store. The pieces were too edgy for me to pull off. Then they slowly added some home/lifestyle items like pillowcases, placemats and pouches. Then they rebranded to just “Bleach”, offering more home items than clothes. I think they reopened in December 2013, but never really bought anything until recently.
The Greenbelt 5 store stands out because of its black and white palette. Sorry, I forgot to take a photo of the storefront. Here is Biscuit with the tag instead, haha:
He was a bit needy when I was photographing items for this post, as you will see below:
So I decided to just include him in the shots. Here are my Bleach picks:
A foldable black tote bag…
…With the loveliest silver print. It almost looks like an x-ray:
This table runner, which also serves as placemats for our small dining table:
I love the wood grain-ish swirls of black with the gold dots. I couldn’t decide which plates to use it with.
But maybe the green plates would add some contrast…
And, another item with a skull, this pillowcase:
Despite the flower, I think this adds a manly touch to the couch.
See more of their dark, but drool-worthy, items at Greenbelt 5 or the Bleach Store Facebook page.
