Local Brand Spotlight: Ladelu Fragrances

I recently purchased some fragrances from Ladelu, which was started by a former colleague.

Ladelu offers “small-scale artisan handmade fragrances.” A short description from their site:

  • painstakingly blended by hand and proudly Philippine-made
  • use premium essential and fragrance oils from Europe and Philippines
  • vegan, do not contain parabens and are produced under cruelty-free conditions
  • quality formulations with at least 20-30% or more essential and fragrance oil blends unlike regular perfumes

Look at the cool minimalist packaging:

I love the bed of white crepe paper confetti!

Each one is artfully wrapped.

I like light, fresh, just-stepped-out-of-the-shower scents. So I ordered Cotton (30 ml Eau de Parfum P300) and Universal (10 ml Purse Spray P120). Both are from the regular line (vs. limited edition ones) and are unisex.

Cotton is “blend of comforting aldehydes, bergamot and a soapy, fresh clean scent reminiscent of washed laundry float on top of notes of cotton flower and musk.”

While Universal is “clearly musky yet soapy-fresh blend of orange, cardamom, bergamot, nutmeg, pepper, coriander, vetiver and cedarwood.”

Both have “soapy” as part of their descriptions, so I was sold!

An order comes with 3 free samples, but you can also buy them for PhP 25 a vial.

Here’s Biscuit wanting to smell all soapy, too!
