DIY Embroidered Photo Cards

I’m not great at sewing, but I really enjoyed making embroidered notebooks. This time we’re sewing on photos!

You can make them into cards like I did, or frame a series for wall art.

What you need:

  1. Photo prints
  2. Needle and thread
  3. Scissors
  4. Thick card stock or board

My prints are from a disposable film camera, called the LOL Cam. My sister got this in Urban Outfitters. It overlays words, cool frames and mustaches over your photos.

Like the embroidered notebooks, you can print or draw your design, lay it over the photo, and start poking holes!

After that, you can start sewing!

You can do words, animals (I did a cat of course) or even just abstract geometric shapes. I did the geometric one with out a guide.

When you’re done sewing, glue them on the card stock and you have your super cool greeting cards!
